Abstract
Another year has gone by and all the 6 issues of Volume 77 of the journal been released on time except the Nov-Dec 2015 issue. The Jan-Feb 2016 issue is also delayed due to the fact that the journal is migrating to a new publisher. By end of the March, IJPS is expected to migrate from Wolters Kluwer-Medknow to OMICS International, thus ending the 10-year relationship with Medknow Publishers, during which period IJPS grew as an online journal and attained international recognition. IPA and the editorial team of the journal thank the support and services rendered by the Wolters Kluwer-Medknow publications to the journal all these years. The changeover may take some time and authors may not be able to access the Manuscript Management System for a few days. Please visit www.ipapharma.org to obtain latest information on the status of the journal migration. I request all the authors and readers to kindly bear with the inconvenience caused in this regard.
Dear Readers,
Another year has gone by and all the 6 issues of Volume 77 of the journal been released on time except the Nov-Dec 2015 issue.
In view of migration to a new publisher and increase in basic material cost, the subscription rates will increase effective Jan 2016 and the increase will be announced in Mar-Apr 2016 issue. IJPS didn’t increase the subscription rates for many years and the hike is inevitable. All subscribers of IJPS are requested to accept the increased rates and continue to subscribe for your journal.
Although the journal picked up pace and started to publish more articles per issue, which is on an average of 20 articles in 2016 compared to 14 articles in 2015, the total time required to publish an article remains to be too long. The editorial team is making all efforts to reduce the time taken for publishing an article. Authors are also requested to help the journal to achieve this by submitting articles that fully comply with the journal format.
The journal’s impact factor improved to 0.479 and its h-index is 37 for the year 2014; based on the h-index, IJPS remained on the top among all Indian journals in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and holds the 3rd rank in Asia and 44th rank in the world.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Dr. Rao Vadlamudi and Dr. Chandrashekhar Barhate during final stages of publication and of the editorial assistants, Dr. Manjunath P. Mudagal, Dr. Gurubasavaraja Swamy, Dr. Suresh Janadri, Mr. Ganesh Andhale, Mr. Anudeep Balla and Ms. Shyli Makula in processing all manuscripts submitted for publication.
I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of IJPS, all the office bearers and the staff of IPA, for their support in bringing out yet another volume of IJPS and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 78 of IJPS in scheduled time.
