Trigonela foenum-graecum linn. : a hypoglycaemic agent

Seeds as well as various extracts of Trigonella foenum-graecum were administered to rabbits to study the hypoglycaemic activity using Glucose Tolerance Test. A significant hypoglycaemic activity of alkaloid-rich fraction has been observed.
