Certain 5-phenyl-4-substituted amino-3-mercapto-(4H)-1,2,4-triazoles having different substitutions on the aromatic ring possessing the azomethine linkage were prepared and evaluated for their antimicrobial acivity. The compounds with a chloro, bromo, hydroxyl and a nitro group on the aromatic ring showed good antimicrobial activity.
