2-(Phenyl/o-Hydroxyphenyl)-5-(substituted aryl)-1,3,4-oxadiazoles were synthesised and evaluated for their anti-inflammatory activity and ulcerogenic liability. The most active compound was compared for its anti-inflammatory and ulcerogenic activity with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS).
