The Beta-t-alkylaminoalkoxy phenyl Furanobenzopyrones (14 compounds) were synthesised and screened for antifertility activity. Two of them, 2.9-Diphenyl-4-methyl-3 [P-(2-dimethyl amino etnoxy)phenyl]-7H furo [2.3-f] [1] benzopyran-7-one (IVe) and 2.9 diphenyl-3[P-2- dimethylaminoisopropoxy) phenyl]-7H Furo [2.3-F] [1] benzopyran-7-one (IVg) were found to possess marked antifertility activity in rats.
