A HPLC Method has been developed for the quantitation of vindoline, catharanthime, vincaleukoblastine and vincristine in Catharanthus roseus leaf. These alkaloids extracted with 2 percent tartaric acid and benzene were fractionated by pH gradient extractions. Different fractions were subjected to reverse phase HPLC. Analysis of the eight germplasm lines is described.
